Xiomara Rivera

Counselor - Violin

Xiomara Rivera grew up in Manchester, NH, and began playing the violin in the 6th grade through her middle school's orchestra program. Currently, Xiomara continues her musical journey as she enters her second year pursuing a degree in music education through The University of New Hampshire, studying violin under the tutelage of Dr. Karl Orvik. Over her 8 years of playing, Xiomara has played in the Manchester Community Music School concert and symphony orchestra's as well as volunteering in their music exploration camps as a counselor. Most recently, Xiomara has worked as an ensemble coach for the UNH youth concert and symphony orchestras. 

This summer will be Xiomara's first summer with Southern Maine String Camp, and she is very excited to be introduced to and work with this vibrant community. During her spare time, Xiomara enjoys reading, writing, embroidery, and spending as much time under the sun as possible.
