Edie Harriman

Counselor - Violin

Eden Harriman grew up in Dayton, Maine and began her studies through her elementary school’s string program run by former SMSC director, Anne Wilkinson. Currently, Eden is continuing her studies under Dr. Karl Orvik as a sophomore Music Performance Major at the University of New Hampshire. Over her 11 years of playing, Eden has performed with the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra, in workshops with the DaPonte String Quartet, Maine All-States, and through Thornton Academy’s string and musical theater program, with roles including The Fiddler in Fiddler on the Roof. Now, she is the rotating concert mistress of her University’s Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. David Upham, and a member of a piano trio.

Eden previously was a camper at SMSC for 8 years and is very excited to come back to this beautiful community as a counselor! In her spare time, you’ll find her reading, going on long walks, dancing, and making as many memories as she can.
